This is a 0.30 inch calibre US M1 Carbine marked Winchester on the rear of the action above the serial number, and Saginaw- S.G. Div General Motors on the barrel by the foresights. Although not dated, the serial number dates it to around March 1944, so just in time for D-Day! This example is a current spec deactivation, but has the benefit of sliding and locking cocking-lever and a detachable magazine. The original hardwood furniture is in good sound condition, with WW2 pattern single-rivet upper guard, a nice grain pattern in the hardwood stock, and just minor knocks from it's service life, and showing a nice clear 'crossed cannon' ordnance cartouche on the butt. The steel too is very good, still retaining most of it's original finish. Included with this rifle are two 1943 dated inert rounds to load into the magazine. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK/EU specification.
Our price: £650.00
