Deactivated 12-gauge Browning Automatic 5 made by FN **SOLD**
This is a Browning Automatic 5, also known as the Auto-5 or A-5, made under licence by Fabrique National of Belgium. It was the first mass produced recoil-operated semi-automatic shotgun, designed by John Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900 , capable of holding 5 rounds including one in the chamber. So impressive was the Auto-5, that production continued right up till 1998, with manufacture by several leading gun manufacturers, with this shotgun seeing military service worldwide between WW1 and the Vietnam War. This particular example is in very nice authentic used condition, with a lovely patina to the action body and 95% blacking to the barrel, with very good woodwork. It cocks and dry-fires with a good precise action, and comes with two inert 12g shells. Deactivated in the UK with certificate to full UK specification.
