Deactivated 12-bore W.A.Campbell hammer shotgun SOLD

This is a double-barrelled hammer action shotgun of side-by-side construction with over-lever breaking made by Alex Campbell of Birmingham. There appears to be little information about this maker, and I would place this example as being from the late 1800's. It is in super condition, with classic cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock and lightly engraved metalwork. This shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a very precise action, though the right hand trigger is a little stiff! and it can be fully stripped. It would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! The inert cartridges shown are not included, but are added to compliment this classic vintage hunting shotgun. They are available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered together. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
