This is a double-barrelled hammer action shotgun of side-by-side construction with over-lever breaking made by  Alex Campbell of Birmingham. There appears to be little information about this maker, and I would place this example as being from the late 1800's. It is in super condition, with classic cross-hatched hardwood rear and forestock and lightly engraved metalwork.  This shotgun breaks, cocks and dry-fires with a very precise action, though the right hand trigger is a little stiff! and it can be fully stripped.  It would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! The inert cartridges shown are not included, but are added to compliment this classic vintage hunting shotgun.
