Deactivated 12 bore Samuel Ebrall hammer shotgun SOLD

This is a double-barrelled hammer action shotgun of side-by-side construction with under-lever breaking made by Samuel Ebrall of Shrewsbury in Shropshire.  Ebrall and his brothers made quality shotguns from the later 1800s, and I would place this example as one of his earlier models. It is in good condition, with classic cross-hatched hardwood woodwork and lightly engraved metalwork typical of Victorian era sporting guns. The stock is in great condition concidering it's age, with no damage worth mentioning.  This shotgun breaks, cocks, half-cocks and dry-fires with a very precise action, and can be fully stripped. The left hammer though functional, has lost it's full 'return' spring pressure. This antique shotgun would make a fabulous addition to anybody's hunting lodge, mounted over the fireplace! Two inert cartridges are included, to compliment this classic vintage hunting shotgun. More are available seperately in the 'Inert Ammunition' section at £1.50 each, post free if ordered  together. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
