World War 2 bayonets and Knives
|
This is a webbing frog in jungle green, specifically designed for the narrow tubular scabbard of the no4 spike bayonet, as opposed to the larger retaining loops for the wider no7 or Pattern 1907 scabbards. This is a Canadian issue frog, which were shorter than the British Patt'37 frogs. Indistinct markings to the rear, with what looks like a date of 1953, which would coincide with the Canadian Korean War issue bayonets. In good used condition, a lovely snug fit for your Long Branch spike scabbard. |
