Canadian no4 mkII bayonet Long Branch made, inspection stamped
This is a No4 mkII spike bayonet, better known as the 'pig-sticker', as fitted to the British Lee-Enfield rifle no4 mk1 and its derivatives, in very good condition. This is a Canadian manufactured example, made at the Long Branch, Ontario factory, marked with the superimposed LB symbol on the nicely blacked socket, so better suited to the Canadian-issue mk1* rifle, made at Long Branch, but will of course fit all no4 rifles. Also Canadian inspection stamped on the socket. Good blade and point, fitted into good mk1 scabbard. A great addition to your Long Branch rifle.
