This is the WW2 Defence Medal, and was awarded to service personnel for 3 years service at home, 1 years non-operational service overseas, and 6 months operational service overseas. This is the Canadian issued version, in excellent condition, which was struck in solid silver rather than cupro-nickel as was the UK version.
