British Pattern 1939 leather webbing belt **SOLD**
This is a leather Pattern 1939 webbing belt. Pattern 1939 was a leather alternative to the Pattern 1937 webbing that was in short supply at the start of WW2. The Patt '39 equipment was never used for front line service, and equipped training and reserve units as well as the Home Guard. This belt is in good condition, with all it's correct brass fittings, and all good rivets and just minor damage to the leather. Unmarked except for '41' at one end, maybe a date? or could be the maximum fitted length. This belt is adjusted to about the max, and we measure it at around a 37" waist, which rules me out! An unusual piece of web equipment.
