British Pattern 1907 Wilkinson polished Parade bayonet with scabbard and frog RAF marked dated 1918 SOLD

This is a Pattern 1907 bayonet for use with the Lee-Enfield rifle no1 mk3 or 3* , better known as the SMLE.  All steel parts on the bayonet have been polished to bright steel for ceremonial duties, and the blade is in excellent condition with all details still visible on the ricasso. These show a date of 11 18, the Royal Cypher and Wilkinson make, and on the other side no re-acceptance, just inspection, bend test and broad arrow marks. Very good wooden grips on both sides and good release button. The pommel is stamped R.A.F. ID 3713. The scabbard is undamaged except for a small dent in the chape, all stitching intact to the leather, and a makers mark of WJM on the throat. A lovely piece of history to compliment any SMLE.
