British Pattern 1907 Sanderson made chromed Parade bayonet with scabbard, Australian marked, 1918 dated **SOLD**

This is a Pattern 1907 bayonet for use with the Lee-Enfield rifle no1 mk3 or   3*, better known as the SMLE.  All steel parts on the bayonet have been chromed for ceremonial duties, and the blade is in excellent condition with most details still visible on the ricasso. These show a date of 2 18, the Royal Cypher and Sanderson as the maker, and on the other side inspection, bend test and broad arrow marks, no re-acceptance. Near perfect wooden grips on both sides and good release button. The pommel is stamped with the Australian acceptance mark of a broad arrow within a D, with other stamps on pommel and crossguard.  The oval frog-stud scabbard is in good sound condition with polished steel throat and chape, but not chromed, and comes in a white blancoed patt '37 frog. A lovely piece of history to compliment any SMLE.
