British Pattern 1907 bayonet Wilkinson made 1918 dated

This is a Pattern 1907 bayonet for use with the Lee-Enfield rifle no1 mk3 or 3*, better known as the SMLE.  Ricasso markings  show 1907 for the Pattern under the Royal Cypher of George V, 1 '18 for date of manufacture and Wilkinson as the manufacturer. The other side shows inspection marks, broad arrow and bend test. The parkerised steel blade is in very good condition, with very good point and edges. Both wooden grips are good, inspection stamped, good release button, with most of blacking on crossguard and pommel, the latter showing removal of unit markings. The leather oval-frogstud scabbard is also in very good condition, EFD marked chape, both throat and chape good and tight, fitted into genuine WW2 Patt'37 webbing frog. A lovely piece of history to compliment any WW1 or WW2 SMLE.
