British Pattern 1907 bayonet Wilkinson made 1918 dated

This is a Pattern 1907 bayonet for use with the Lee-Enfield rifle no1 mk3 or 3*, better known as the SMLE.  Ricasso markings show 1907 for the Pattern under the Royal Cypher of George V, 11 '18 faintly for manufacture date and Wilkinson as the manufacturer. The other side shows inspection marks, broad arrow and bend test, and the numerals 87. The polished steel blade is in sound condition, with good point, but some indents to the edge and signs of corrosion forwards of the fuller as can be seen. The wooden grips are sound and complete. Polished crossguard and pommel, stamped X907, with good release button. The oval-frogstud scabbard is also in good sound condition, all stitching intact, with tight maker's marked throat and chape and signs of original black painted finish.  A lovely piece of history to compliment any WW1 SMLE.
