British Patt'07 parade bayonet Sanderson made dated 1917

This is a Pattern 1907 bayonet for use with the Lee-Enfield rifle no1 mk3 or 3*, better known as the SMLE. Ricasso markings show 1907 for the Pattern, 11 '17 for manufacture date and Sanderson as the manufacturer, under the Royal Cypher of George V. The other side shows acceptance marks, broad arrow and bend test. The chromed steel blade is in good condition with good edge and point, with minor loss of chromed finish at the point. Both wooden grips are complete and in good condition, good release button, and polishing to crossguard and pommel. The round-frogstud brown leather scabbard is also in good condition, nice tight maker marked throat and chape, inspection stamped and 1917 dated to rear. Fitted into a brown leather frog. A lovely piece of history to compliment any WW1 or WW2 SMLE.
