British no7 knife bayonet, scabbard, BSA M47 made, in frog

This is the No.7 mk1 bayonet, the penultimate socket bayonet fitted to the Lee-Enfield no.4 rifle, and produced from 1945 till 1948. The simple No.4 spike transformed into this elaborate knife bayonet with rotating handle, and then finished as a cross between the two, the No.9, a knife bayonet without handle which served only one purpose.  In very good condition, with excellent point and unsharpened edge, unlike most you find now, marked No7 Mk1/L on one ricasso and M47 with a broadarrow on the other. Good grips and excellent blacking to crossguard and M47B stamped pommel, which was BSA's wartime dispersal code. Very good undented and complete scabbard with correct steel throat, fitted into a genuine 1945 dated webbing frog. Lovely example of this much sought-after bayonet.
