British No4 mk2 bayonet, scabbard, early Singer marked, 1942 dated **SOLD**

This is a No4 mk2 spike bayonet, better known as the 'pig-sticker', as fitted to the British Lee-Enfield rifle no4 mk1 and its derivatives, in very good condition, along with it's scabbard. This is a British manufactured example, marked with G 'crown' R, No4MkII and SM for the Singer Manufacturing Company on the side of the socket, and SM42 on the release button, in the same style as the mk1 cruciform before dispersal codes were issued (Singer was N67). Good blade and point, light signs of water damage, good mk1 steel scabbard with most of black painted finish over blacking to the steel.
