British Lee-Metford P1888 Mk1 bayonet and scabbard, 1894 dated, KRR marked

This is a British Pattern 1888 mk1 bayonet as fitted to the Lee-Metford and Long Lee rifles used by the British Army in the late 19th century. Marked 6 '94 under the cypher of Queen Victoria on one ricasso, broadarrow, inspection and bend test stamped on the other, and inspection stamps on spine of blade. Very good clean bright steel blade with perfect edge and point and just light staining, good inspection stamped wooden grips. Stamped 2.07.97 on both pommel and scabbard mouth, also 1C.B.K.R.R. on the pommel - King's Royal Rifles? plus other stamps. Fitted into good sound leather scabbard, minor movement in throat. An interesting piece of military history.
