Post World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This is the No.9, last of the line for the socket bayonet fitted to the Lee-Enfield no.4 rifle. The simple No.4 spike transformed into the elaborate no.7 knife bayonet with rotating handle, and then finished as a cross between the two, a knife bayonet without handle which served only one purpose. In very good condition, excellent edge and point. Enfield factory and broadarrow stamped on the socket and ricasso, with a date of 1951. Very good undented scabbard, correct brass throat, with all of the black painted finish, polished Enfield stamped frog-stud, fitted into genuine webbing frog, blancoed for parade use. A great addition for a post-war Enfield no4 rifle.
