Post World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This is the No.9, last of the line for the socket bayonet fitted to the Lee-Enfield no.4 rifle. The simple No.4 spike transformed into the elaborate no.7 knife bayonet with rotating handle, and then finished as a cross between the two, a knife bayonet without handle which served only one purpose. In good condition throughout, it looks to have been refinished at some point, with super point and edge to the blade, and blacked broadarrow stamped ricasso and socket. Enfield factory stamp on the socket with a date of 1952. Good scabbard with a couple of small dings on the back, but missing the steel throat. This does not effect the fit in the scabbard, and it is hidden by the original broadarrow marked webbing frog. A great addition for a post-war Enfield no4 rifle.
