British Army officer's Sam Browne belt with holster

This is a British Army officer's Sam Browne belt complete with shoulder strap and large-frame leather holster, in good sound condition. Probably dating from WW2, though possibly WW1 as it was found in a flea market in the Verdun area of France, and the holster comfortably accomodates a Mk6 Webley, though it's not possible to be sure of age in the absence of any date on the leather. Maximum size it can be adjusted to appears to be about a 35" waist. Holster has some loose stitching where the flap strap is attached and shows some cracks in the leather from age, and there is the name L R Muirhead written inside the flap. A few extra holes have been made in the belt leather to adjust it smaller. Otherwise a lovely piece of history that could be researched.
