World War 2 bayonets and Knives
This, we believe, is a M24 bayonet produced by FN of Belgium for their exported Mauser rifles. With a 253mm blade, 15.5mm muzzle ring and overall length of 387mm, this bayonet also came in a longer variant for export customers. Totally devoid of any markings we can find, except for a 5-digit serial number on the end of the pommel, this example is in very good condition, with very good blade and wooden grips. The pommel is channelled to fit a period Mauser bayonet lug. Very good blacked undented scabbard. Pre-war models had a bright steel blade like this one, while post-war models had blacked steel blades.
