American Remington made Pattern 1913 bayonet and scabbard, US issue

This is a pattern 1913 bayonet as fitted to the British P13 and P14 rifles as well as the US Model of 1917, made under contract in the USA. This particular example is marked Remington under a date of 8 17, and 1913 as the pattern. On the other side is an imperial inspection stamp crossed through, and the letters US, indicating issue to US forces. The blade is lightly parkarised with a light patina to the steel, perfect point, and very good unsharpened edge, nicely blacked ricassos. Good grips with a few light knocks, and good release button, pleasant patina to steel parts. Very good oval frog-stud scabbard with nice tight chape and throat, similar  finish to the steel, marked RE for Remington, dated '17 to rear. A great addition to any WW1 P14 or M17.
