American made Ligitimus machete 1944 dated, with sheath

This is a genuine WW2 US made Legitimus Collins & Co No.1250 machete with sheath, dated 1944. Collins & Co was awarded various Allied contracts throughout WW2, and this particular machete was typically issued for carrying on tanks and vehicles in Europe, and was used by U.S., British & Canadian troops during WW2. The blade is in good sound condition, but like many shows signs of corrosion. Good complete grips. The canvas sheath has suffered unfortunately and there is a hole at the tip, and the leather securing strap is damaged.
