Post World War 2 bayonets and Knives
| This is a US made M4 bayonet for the M1 carbine, made under contract by the Camillus Cutlery Comany in 1953 for use in the Korean War. In good sound condition, with very good blade with good edge and point, good blacked finish to pommel and crossguard, the latter stamped U.S. M4 CAMILLUS. Good leather grips showing minor distress, engraved JSH by presumably a US GI. The scabbards and integral frog is in good sound condition, some loss of finish to the genuine USM8 stamped throat, maker marked B.M Co. A desirable bayonet to suit your M1 carbine.
