Post World War 2 bayonets and Knives
We don't know much about this knife as there are no manufacturer markings on it, but it is unused and in excellent condition, and of the type that was designed by the Ontario Knife Company in Canada in 1958, and adopted by the USA for issuing to pilots as a survival knife during the Vietnam War up to the present. It has a sharp and very stout 5" blade with serrated spine, leather grip, and a hexagonal pommel so shaped for opening a panel on the aircraft containing survival gear. Fitted into a leather scabbard incorporating a pouch with a sharpening stone and steel reinforcement with thigh strap. A useful piece of kit!
