French Chassepot M1866 sword bayonet and scabbard, Tulle, 1875 dated, matching serial number

This is the French yataghan curved sword bayonet as fitted to the Chassepot M1866 rifle. A good clean straight blade with good point and lightly sharpened edge. Pleasant patina to muzzle-ring and quillon, and also the matched serial number scabbard, with no dents and all it's original blacked finish. It appears to have been lacquered which would explain the good finish on it. Very nice brass grips with working release button. Simple Tulle armoury mark and dated February 1875 on the spine of the blade. A classic sword bayonet in very good original condition with matching serial numbers to bayonet and scabbard.
