Deactivated Thompson M1928 A1 sub-machine gun, sliding cocking handle SOLD

This is the famous 0.45" calibre Thompson submachine gun, better known as the 'Tommy Gun', synonymous with every gangster movie. Widely used in every conflict since (but not including) WW1, up till the Bosnian War. This particular variant, the model 1928A1, was made by the Auto-Ordnance Corp. and is of the type used before and during WW2, with the characteristic Cutts compensator. It is in super condition with near perfect blacking, and excellent matching woodwork, matching serial numbers to upper and lower sections, and comes with a removeable 20 round stick magazine, leather sling and a couple of inert .45 rounds. A late spec deactivation, but with the advantage of a sliding cocking handle and trigger, fire-select and safety levers with full movement, and quick detachable buttstock. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to EU specification.
