Deactivated Thompson M1928 A1 .45 cal submachine gun SOLD

This is the famous 0.45" calibre Thompson submachine gun, better known as the 'Tommy Gun', synonymous with every gangster movie. Widely used in every conflict since (but not including) WW1, up till the Bosnian War. This particular variant, the model 1928A1, was made by the Auto-Ordnance Corp. and is of the type used before and during WW2, with the characteristic finned barrel and Cutts compensator. It is in near mint condition and comes with a removeable 20 round stick magazine, leather sling and desirable ladder rear sights. Some stripping is possible as shown, including the easy removal of the butt. A late spec deactivation, the cocking handle is fixed but the trigger has full movement. Deactivated in the UK with Certificate to UK specification.
