This is an early SLR L1A3 bayonet and scabbard with transitional waisted crossguard in very good condition, as fitted to the British issued SLR rifles.  Marked L1A3 9600257  ED (Enfield) 65 on both sides of the steel grips, with a date of 1959 on the blacked ricasso. Perfect edge and point to the parkarised blade, sound release button, and very good complete undented blacked scabbard with correct brass throat, fitted into genuine cammo nylon frog.
